Off-grid charging station for a sustainable micro-mobility

An e-bike loan scheme supporting low-carbon shared mobility
[...] The Royal Borough of Greenwich is located approximately 10km to the east from the city centre. It is less well served by the cycling network and infrastructure. Due to this, private companies recently started to introduce regular and electric dockless bike sharing schemes to the area. However, there is not at present an integrated, city-wide e-bike sharing scheme in London. Electric bikes (including e-Cargo bikes) have been part of a wide range of low carbon mobility measures supporting the borough's Low Emission Neighbourhood programme.
The Parker Project- V2G Services
The aim of the Parker project was to validate that series-produced electric vehicles as part of a company fleet can support the power grid with V2G services. Ultimately supporting the use of renewable energy while earning money through grid services.
The NRGcoin concept is motivated by the following issues in the energy sector:
Inadequate subsidies for renewables. Too little subsidies lead to slower integration of renewables, while too high support causes stress on the grid infrastructure.
Risk for policy change. Retroactive changes in support policy undermine the trust of investors and lead to slower adoption of renewables.
Rising electricity prices. Without proper balance of supply and demand, the grid infrastructure needs to be reinforced to handle peak production and consumption.
Biedronka saves 82% on energy costs with Smart Lampposts
By installing Omniflow's Smart IoT Lamppole, Biedronka saved an impressive 82 % of electric energy when compared to normal LED lighting systems or 97% compared to old technology lighting.
The lighting units are managed remotely by an Internet of Things software, are powered by wind and solar energy, and have a built-in energy storage battery to further reduce any reliance on the grid. When batteries are depleted, consumption switches to take energy from the grid.
