The challenge was to develop an Open Data platform for the City of Paderborn, which would be a reusable solutions for smart cities around the world. Solution should be easy to deploy, maintain and scale to different needs.
The platform is currently running on Kubernetes as intended, and is now at its second iteration. FIWARE and other open source components are used to build the solution. Orion context broker is at the heart of the platform. This is a multivendor project.
The project involved co-creation with citizens. This was carried out through local partnerships and the use of citizen workshops.
