To build viable cities and communities, the need for new and novel working methods has never been more important and this is a challenge. We need to organize ourselves in new ways to be able to reach common missions across sectors and disciplines by using new innovation methodologies. Strong silos in organisations and departments, lack of proper end-user involvement and system overview of complex infrastructures give risk to faulty investments and solutions that are not sustainable enough. For small and medium sized municipalities, the challenge is often lack of resources and competence, which is why we focus on this group.
