About us

The city of Ludwigsburg has many different faces. It is the county seat of local government and has about 91,000 inhabitants spread over seven suburbs. Intelligent waste management system in Ludwigsburg

Owing to the Sustainability strategy of the city of Ludwigsburg, the municipality aims at optimizing the waste collection routes in the city. As a pilot project the city has installed cameras with inbuilt sensors in the 15 waste bins across the city.


Municipality Welcome Manager (L2B2 Service Robot) in Ludwigsburg

The service robot in our Bürgerbüro is an example of how we test digital applications in everyday life. It is the first information point for citizens visiting the city hall and helps increase the working efficiency of the city hall.



Traffic light priority System in Ludwigsburg

To save valuable time, fire brigade and ambulance service vehicles are given preferential treatment at traffic lights in Ludwigsburg. In the test phase it is being examined whether backlog can be avoided and how faster emergency vehicles reach their destination.

MHP is testing its self-developed ParkingSpotter as part of the Living LaB innovation network in Ludwigsburg. The aim of the pilot project is to reduce the amount of traffic in the cul-de-sac, thus reducing the risk of pedestrians, reducing exhaust fumes, saving time for those looking for a parking




Improving air quality in Ludwigsburg

As part of a pilot project to improve air quality in Ludwigsburg, filtration expert MANN+HUMMEL has donated a CityTree to the city. With the CityTree, MANN+HUMMEL would  like to test sensors for fine dust or other harmful gases in order to use them in future digital products.



City quiz in an interactive shop window in Ludwigsburg

A screen in a shop window usually plays advertising content. Not so in the new pilot project of the Innovation Network of the City of Ludwigsburg. They developed a question and answer game 'Fact or Fake?' for young and old that is fun and teaches participants interesting facts about Ludwigsburg.



Virtual Reality Tour through a pumpkin in Ludwigsburg

On the occasion of the world's largest pumpkin exhibition, a virtual reality was developed in which visitors can try out a game with pumpkins and at the same time gain their first experiences with VR.
