We cordially invite you to the panel discussion “Smart cities: cooperation without borders” at House of Switzerland in Stuttgart, organised by the city of St. Gallen, on Tuesday, 6 July 2021 at 18:00 CEST.

What is behind the buzzword “smart city” and what does it mean in “practice”, across borders?
Benjamin Szemkus (Managing Director, Smart City Hub), Joel Singh (Head of Marketing and Communication and Member of the Executive Board, Crossiety AG), Prof. Birgit Schenk (HVF Ludwigsburg), Dr. Christin Wohlrath (City of Konstanz) and Christian Geiger (Chief Digital Officer, City of St.Gallen) will be showing what the “buzzword” smart city means and comprises – and how it is brought into practice.

Cooperation makes cities smarter
The examples of St. Gallen and Konstanz demonstrate how cities can become more efficient, technologically advanced, greener and socially inclusive. They will also show how the various stakeholders can contribute to the digital transformation of cities and how they can benefit from it.
Finally, the example of the two Rheinfelden cities will be used to discuss how smart cities can successfully connect across borders.

Where, when, how…
The panel discussion is moderated by Alexander Schmidt, CEO at BABLE, and takes place on Tuesday, 6 July 2021, from 18:00 to 19:00, followed by an aperitif, at House of Switzerland in Stuttgart.
