The CEO of BABLE Smart Cities, Alexander Schmidt, is currently in Santiago de Chile as a member of the 35-strong delegation of Baden-Württemberg's Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism, Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut.

On Friday, he signed the new partnership agreement with the Chilean smart city ecosystem DO! Smart City. Through this cooperation, both parties are pursuing the goal of supporting municipalities and companies on both sides of the Atlantic in the faster and more efficient implementation of smart city solutions. Alexander Schmidt is delighted with this development:

"By working closely together, we will be in an even better position to further disseminate existing solutions and jointly bring new, targeted projects to the streets. As a result, our sphere of activity is no longer limited to Europe, but we can now also take off in Chile."

Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut is also very pleased about the conclusion of the contract:

"I am delighted to be able to accompany BABLE GmbH on this further important step towards internationalization and wish the company and its Chilean cooperation partners Do! Smart City every success for the future cooperation. BABLE is an example of the innovative start-ups in our country that we support year after year as part of our Start-up BW Pre-seed program, making it easier for them to take the leap into self-employment. BABLE has successfully embarked on a path of growth in recent years with the future topic of Smart City and innovative concepts. Climate protection, for example, requires resource-conscious and careful action. Smart solutions can achieve great success here - especially in municipal infrastructure. I am very pleased about this success story 'made in Baden-Württemberg' and hope that the cooperation that has now been contractually sealed will lay the foundation for many more exciting chapters."

The delegation trip focuses on the topics of hydrogen, the circular economy and raw materials and consists of representatives from politics, business and science. These are all areas that need to be considered and included in smart city solutions.
