Goal of the project:
As part of its projects for the Development of the València 2030 Urban Strategy oriented to Missions and the Promotion of Public Procurement of Innovation. Currently, a Preliminary Market Consultation is being carried out in relation to the Climate Mission València 2030, and stakeholder participation is being sought. This effort is part of a 2019 initiative by the Municipal Plenary, which seeks that, by 2025, 3% of the City Council's public purchases are made through Public Procurement of Innovation. In 2021, the City Council of Valencia identified 54 challenges and 305 unmet public needs in its Early Demand Map.
The València 2030 Climate Mission has identified 8 main challenges to seek innovative solutions with the collaboration of the entire innovation ecosystem, including business, public sector, academia and civil society. These challenges are aligned with the city's goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2030, after Valencia was included among the 112 cities of the European Mission 100 Smart and Climate Neutral Cities for 2030. The 8 challenges cover: mobility, energy, urbanism, circular economy, renaturalization, resilience and adaptation, smart governance and social engagement.
