Smart basics & Strategy development

In this module, participants first gain an understanding of what a smart city means in small and medium-sized cities. Building on this, the participants develop a locally adapted smart city strategy that takes the individual context into account. Another important component is the identification of key fields of action - from mobility and administration to climate and other areas.

Modernizing administration & Building digital services - tools for digital municipalities

The focus here is on initiating digitalization in the administration in a targeted manner and prioritizing it in a meaningful way. Participants learn about practical approaches to e-government solutions and are given tools to actively involve employees and citizens in the process.

Mobility & Climate protection

This module is dedicated to smart solutions for energy, mobility and climate change adaptation - particularly with regard to the special challenges in rural areas. It also presents available funding opportunities and impact tools that can be used to evaluate projects and make their benefits visible.

Winning people over & Shaping projects together

Finally, the aim is to actively involve citizens, associations and companies and to understand innovation as a joint task. At the same time, participants learn how to strategically use networks and collaborations to implement projects sustainably and successfully.
