These smart stickers aimed to offer an improved customer experience for locals and visitors of the Tartu Smart City who use public transit. The goal was to combine existing and easy-to-use technologies such as NFC and QR stickers.
In cooperation with Tartu City Government and the Estonian Smart City Cluster, we placed stickers with QR codes and Near-field communication (NFC) at bus stops in Tartu. By scanning the QR code or touching the NFC sticker, information regarding the arrival of buses at that specific stop will quickly be displayed on the user's smartphone.
