Challenge / Goal
Until now, cities have had few options for coordinating sharing services from different providers - which is why they are to be recorded centrally in Cologne. The goal is to ensure that e-trekking scooters and sharing bikes no longer block sidewalks and are available wherever citizens need them, whether at a concert, a football match, a tourist attraction, or for the last mile after using public transportation. The goal is to optimise the management and provision of micromobility services based on coherent criteria.
Solution
On the basis of a prototypically implemented micro-mobility dashboard, it will be shown how data from different municipal areas can be merged and that synergies between these data sets can be created on this basis. The locations of e-trekkers and e-bikes of the Cologne public transport company (KVB) and Next Bike are displayed in the dashboard. It is visualised which vehicles have been parked unused for a longer period of time and where there is greater demand due to events, at public transport stops or other points of interest.
