REACTIVITY rewards public transport and active mobility to reduce emissions, back data-driven urban and traffic planning, and engage with citizens. This project helps cities promote sustainable and active mobility, as well as intermodality, all while discouraging car dependence.
REACTIVITY is meeting the need of city managers for digital tools to enable urban multi-modal and multi-source mobility planning. As a result, REACTIVITY provides: 1) a solution to support monitoring and gamification of public transport, cycling, and walking, 2) an active mobility plugin for a multi-data source dashboard to support active mobility monitoring. Thus, local authorities can get useful data to inform their policies and investments fostering sustainable mobility. This solution is being tested in Braga (PT) and Lecce (IT), where city managers will engage at least 1,000 users, as well as local transport operators, to unlock the change towards more sustainable mobility. Local storekeepers will also be engaged, as they will redeem the vouchers earned while using public, sustainable, and active travel modes, thus accelerating local market opportunities.
REACTIVITY engages 1,000 users, local transport operators, and local storekeepers in two European cities. REACTIVITY’s users create cooperative maps and send reports about architectural barriers and dangerous status of the infrastructure. The engagement of local shops makes intermodal active mobility more economically valuable for the whole community.
