There was no existing application in Konya that collected data-based information on the zero waste concept throughout the city. It was necessary to develop such an application to promote and implement the zero waste approach as much as possible. This would help address the lack of awareness among the public, including district municipalities, regarding this issue. In addition, one of the primary objectives of this project was to enter the collected waste data into a system and minimize environmental pollution.
Improvable areas related to zero waste will be identified, and the necessary training and equipment support will be provided to the respective regions. This will ensure that the type and quantity of recyclable waste collected separately at the source are recorded within the source throughout Konya.By implementing this approach, the goal is to create a system where recyclable waste is properly sorted and recorded at the source in all areas of Konya. This will contribute to better waste management and facilitate the recycling process.
