The goal was to create a means for the gathering of rainwater runoff. This water could then be reused for irrigation purposes, namely for soft landscaping, public gardens and farmers’ fields.
To carry out the intended goal of rainwater runoff collection, an underground water reservoir was constructed. The reservoir stores more than 90,000 cubic metres of water in the village of Kercem.
