In the district of Mülheim, new charging infrastructure was setup, which enables the tenants to charge their electric vehicles. Customers are required to register at tankE (https://www.tanke.info/) to use the charging stations. To start or stop the charging process users have to send a text message via mobile phone. The only costs at this point are the cost of an ordinary text, which depends on users’ choice of mobile phone contract.
As a registered driver, you are able to fill your vehicle at “Tanke” branded charging stations with green electricity from renewable sources. The charging time depends on the vehicle type.
