Use Case
The Use case aims at delivering strategic load curtailment in public buildings via existing BEMS.
Demand Side Response (DSR) interventions are issued by the City Energy Controller to the respective loaction. The Siemens Microbox integrates with the local BEMS to temporarily change the operating state of the approved systems to deliver load reduction. This is a scaleable platform to integrate new buildings and loads/ systems as they come on line, or can also be applied as a retrofit.
Active participation: technology will drive passive, systems response, however wider citizen engagement will deliver active participation
