CIVINET Iberia is CIVITAS’s local network for Spain and Portugal, managed by BABLE Smart Cities Iberia since January 2023. It serves as a collaboration platform for cities, transportation agencies, and mobility companies, with the goal of:
✔ Promote active mobility and clean transportation solutions
✔ Foster the exchange of knowledge and best practices
✔ Foster public-private partnerships
✔ Support road safety, smart mobility, and last-mile logistics
Every year, the network meets to share experiences, address common challenges, and continue making progress together on urban mobility. This year, at Campo de los Mártires, the meeting will focus on the future of urban public transportation: fleet electrification, traffic simulation applied to decision-making, and sustainable mobility in Iberian cities of varying sizes.
What to expect?
July 1 — Spanish participants only (afternoon) The first day’s session is designed specifically for Spanish cities and operators, with a focus on Spain’s Law on Mobility and Sustainable Transportation: its practical implementation, operational challenges, and mobility plans for commuting to work. It is an in-depth working session on the Spanish regulatory context.
July 1 — All participants (starting at 6:00 p.m.) Starting at 6:00 PM, Portuguese and Spanish participants will join the program. The afternoon continues with a welcome cocktail reception at the Carmen de los Mártires, a technical tour of Granada led by the City Council team, and a dinner with views of the Alhambra.
July 2 — All participants (full day)
The second day is the core of the event, open to everyone:
