The Smart Dublin Podcast Series, launched in September 2022, is a six-part journey into the ideas, projects, and people shaping Dublin into a smarter, more resilient city. The series highlights how collaboration, data, and digital innovation are helping to solve real urban challenges—from climate action to community engagement.

Each episode features members of the Smart Dublin team, offering authentic insights, lessons learned, and actionable ideas for others aiming to build smarter cities. The series not only shares what’s happening on the ground in Dublin, but also serves as a blueprint for replicable smart city success.

1.   Dublin Month #1 - Smart Dublin: "It's all about people and relationships"
 Alan Murphy, Smart Dublin's Regional Manager discussed Smart Dublin's goals and mission, as well as the Smart City ecosystem in Dublin.

2.  Dublin Month #2 - Open Data: "The backbone of Smart City projects"
Luke Binns, Smart Dublin Projects Coordinator, and Gabriel Byrne, Systems Analyst & Team Leader in the South Dublin County Council opened up the world of open data and data ecosystems.

3.   BABLE - Dublin Month #3 - Smart Dún Laoghaire: "Technology for inclusion"
Dr Conor Dowling, the Smart Dún Laoghaire Programme Manager Analysis spoke about the specific challenges and unique characteristics of this smart district.

4.   BABLE - Dublin Month #4 - Smart DCU: "Bridging the gap between academia and industry"
Kieran Mahon, the Smart DCU Projects Facilitator, discussed living labs, autism-friendly campus, Digital Twins and robot delivery in the Dublin City University (DCU).

5.  BABLE - Dublin Month #5 - Smart Docklands: "Education, Engagement and Connectivity"
Darach Mac Donncha, Programme Manager at Smart Docklands talked about this major centre of innovation and employment located in the heart of Dublin.

6.   BABLE - Dublin Month #6 - Smart Balbriggan: "A Smart Community Initiative"
Aishling Hyland, the Fingal County Council Digital Programme Officer discussed the Smart Balbriggan programme and the community-based and innovative projects of this small town of 25,000 inhabitants on the northern edge of Dublin’s coast.
