In parallel to the Walk21 Portugal Conference, on October 14, CIVINET Iberia will hold its first meeting in Portugal!

The session will take place at the IMT facilities where we will have the opportunity to present CIVINET Iberia, part of the CIVITAS initiative, which is dedicated to supporting cities to implement innovative and sustainable mobility solutions, and we will discuss ways to boost sustainable mobility initiatives in Portugal, thus reinforcing the role of cities in developing more accessible and sustainable urban environments.

In addition, knowledge sharing between municipalities will also be promoted and the aim is to raise awareness of the importance of walking and cycling, with a focus on increasing active mobility - one of the main objectives of the National Strategy for Active Mobility.
