Event Design, Facilitation, and Reporting for the Department of Transport of Ireland
In collaboration with the Department of Transport of Ireland, BABLE Smart Cities supported the delivery of the second edition of the National Sustainable Mobility Forum—a key national event aligned with Ireland’s Sustainable Mobility Policy and Action Plan. The forum brought together public and private stakeholders to share best practices and accelerate Ireland’s transition to accessible, low-emission transport.
The forum featured diverse voices from local authorities, government departments, youth and community groups, civil society, and transport agencies. Through interactive formats and inclusive dialogue, it fostered engagement on themes such as accessibility, safety, active travel, and the social co-benefits of sustainable mobility.
Deliverables by BABLE
- Pre-event planning and design
Structured early planning sessions with the Department of Transport to define objectives, develop inclusive and participatory formats, and coordinate speakers. Tools like live polls and Q&A were prepared to ensure audience interaction. - Event facilitation
Delivered full event moderation, including Master of Ceremonies, facilitation of thematic sessions (including bespoke Youth and Community Action sessions), and live audience engagement.
Supported the launch of the Sustainable Mobility Academy platform. - Post-event report
Captured insights from recorded content, online polls, and live feedback. Synthesised findings into a comprehensive and accessible final report, offering guidance for future sustainable mobility strategies.
“The Department of Transport worked closely with BABLE to deliver the 2024 National Sustainable Mobility Forum... From planning to execution, the BABLE team were a pleasure to work with and were integral to the delivery of a successful Forum.”
