From Challenge to Opportunity: How Intelligent Communities turn the challenges of today into tomorrow’s economic, social & cultural opportunity

Organised by BABLE Smart Cities, the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF), and EIPO, the ICF Global Summit 2024 took place in Barcelona, Spain, on 3–4 November 2024. Under the theme “From Challenge to Opportunity”, the Summit convened mayors, policymakers, innovators, and entrepreneurs from across the globe to explore how communities are turning today’s digital and social challenges into future opportunities. The event also featured the recognition of Curitiba (Brazil) as the World’s Most Intelligent Community 2024.

Deliverables by BABLE

  • Event logistics & management
    Managed venue coordination, catering, and suppliers. Oversaw the production of event materials including signage, roll-ups, and name badges.
  • Agenda design & session planning
    Collaborated with ICF to shape the agenda, design the plenary programme, and coordinate workshops and panel discussions.
  • Speaker management & recruitment
    Sourced and confirmed high-level speakers including city leaders, technologists, and urban planners. Provided speaker briefings and ensured alignment with the event’s strategic theme.
  • Marketing & promotion
    Led multi-channel promotion efforts, targeting local and regional stakeholders. Shared event content across BABLE’s platforms before, during, and after the summit. Captured and distributed high-quality event photography and created post-event content including newsletters.
