Location
Beasain, Spain

BABLE successfully guided Beasain into defining the areas of opportunity within the mobility sector. During the project, our team engaged with 15 company representatives from Beasain’s local transport and mobility ecosystem to align priorities and objectives regarding research and innovation. Representatives from CAF (a world-leading company manufacturing comprehensive systems for sustainable transport) and Irizar (a leading business in the bus and coach sector in Spain) provided their commitment to the City Council to support the development of an Innovation Hub and Talent House in Beasain.

Having set this initial framework with joint priorities, objectives, and research areas has allowed Beasain to position itself in the sector with organisations (both public and private) internationally.  In 2023, the City Council signed a collaboration agreement with the BasqueCCAM to test cutting-edge CCAM technologies in Beasain. This high-impact collaboration will attract European projects to carry out tests in real scenarios on Beasain's urban and rural roads.
