The virtual Circular Economy Round Up constitutes the final event of our Circular Economy series and builds on the fruitful discussions we've had during last year’s Circular Economy Convention (October 2021) and our Embassy New Years’ Receptions at the beginning of this year. We will try and interlink different ideas and approaches from these previous sessions and hope to find concrete solutions on how we can work together more efficiently towards a more sustainable circular society. But even imagining such a shift is incredibly difficult. We live under ‘capitalist realism’, a collective inability to imagine alternative ways of organising our economies. In this session we will discuss the potential for utopian fiction to expand our ideas of what kind of economic change is possible. What digital technologies and new practices have made their way into the building sector and what are the economics behind smart planning?
