Fibre Optic Infrastructure (Backbone project)
The result of the project has been a Smart Environment which enables hardware and software to respond to triggers such as weather, public events, and emergencies and communicates with the inhabitants as well. It also enables interactions between for example mobility solutions, security solutions, office solutions and the lighting system of Strijp-S. It has thus enables Strijp-S to truly become a smart district.

Smart lamp posts
In Milan the lamp post will not only be devoted to illuminating the street or sidewalk where it is installed but will become a key node for network infrastructure that transforms and improves community services.
Smart lamp posts can help to monitor indicators related to environment, security, smart mobility and parking thanks to applications from both citizens and municipalities.
The city can also communicate through the streetlights by exploiting their capillary location on the land.

Travel time optimization through queue detection technology for...
Over-head sensors have been deployed to digitize and evaluate the whole site occupancy. In addition, an algorithm that calculates waiting time dependent on number of cars in queue and number of cars on the site have been created and applied. The generated information is available on the website of WB Duisburg and their own mobile App, where citizens can check for the best opportunity and plan their trip to the most accessible site.
Electric and hybrid electric buses for public transport
The measure is consistent with the Air Quality Plan and the actions of Madrid’s Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP). It is also aligned with EMT’s strategic plans regarding clean fleet uptake.
The research and planning phase saw the evaluation of different alternatives for the type of public transport service required in another measure of ECCENTRIC project.Taking into account the length and characteristics of the high-level public transport service corridors in peripheral districts, the conclusion was that the fully electric buses available on the market did not meet the necessary
Geospatial Analysis for EV Infrastructure Planning
Energeo are in discussions with East Lothian now to undertake further analysis to support their urban mobility initiatives. Service development is also underway to integrate Energeo's renewable energy data to enable identification of clean, local and off-grid power supply to the EVCP's, and local grid infrastructure data to allow determination of grid constraints and grid impact of EVCP installation. Additionally, Energeo are developing a SaaS platform that would enable the end user to access this data through a browser, and run EVCP deployment scenarios on the fly to determine impacts
