For the last months, we have been working intensively on improving our platform and the services we provide to our community. Today, we are happy to announce the relaunch of our platform, which is now better oriented to facilitate and simplify the work of cities and companies working towards a better urban life. What is new? YOUR PERSONAL DASHBOARD It is like a command centre, one place where you can manage and track all your activities. From your dashboard, you will be able to have quick access to all your assets (like Use Cases, Products or Posts), can check new notifications, edit your profile, and manage your subscriptions. Test it now TOOLBOX Focused on making it easier for the users to find the information they are looking for, we created the Toolbox which includes the Solution and Use Case Finder. Both tools will help you navigate through Solutions and Use Cases. You just need to go to your Dashboard, and answer some questions related to the solution or use case you are looking for and all matching results will be displayed. Try them here PROJECTS Improving liveability and services in a city is not the task of only one person or organization, but rather a cooperation among different stakeholders. Die TÜV SÜD Akademie bietet ab Herbst 2019 in Kooperation mit BABLE Smart Cities die erste Smart City Schulung Deutschlands an, die erfolgreiche Teilnehmer kompakt in 2 Tagen zur "Smart City Fachkraft" ausbildet. Innerhalb der zweitägigen Schulung erhalten die Teilnehmer anhand von Beispielen und Erfahrungen aus Pilotstädten und -projekten weltweit einen Überblick in die Möglichkeiten und aktuellen Entwicklungen bezüglich der Planung und Umsetzung innovativer, nachhaltiger und digitaler Stadtmodelle. Anhand von verschiedenen Instrumenten und Modellen bekommen die Teilnehmer Anregungen für die Entwicklung integrierter Lösungsansätze und die Erstellung von Smart City Roadmaps und Strategien. Zudem bietet die Schulung Raum für Erfahrungsaustausch und Diskussion mit Experten, die das Thema Smart City global begleiten, beraten und unterstützen. Am 17.-18. September 2019 findet die Pilotveranstaltung „Smart City – Basiswissen für digitale und nachhaltige Stadtentwicklung“ im Rahmen der Messe Smart City Solutions auf dem Gelände der Messe in Stuttgart statt. In cooperation with BABLE Smart Cities, TÜV SÜD Academy will be offering Germany's first Smart City training course starting in autumn 2019. Successful participants will receive compact training to become "Smart City specialists" in two days. During the two-day training, participants will gain an overview of the possibilities and current developments in the planning and implementation of innovative, sustainable and digital city models based on examples and experiences from pilot cities and projects worldwide. Using various instruments and models, the participants receive suggestions for the development of integrated solutions and the creation of Smart City Roadmaps and strategies. In addition, the training offers space for exchange of experience and discussion with experts who accompany, advise and support the topic of Smart City globally. On 17-18 September 2019 , the pilot event "Smart City - Basic Knowledge for Digital and Sustainable Urban Development " will take place as part of the Smart City Solutions trade fair at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. CE3 funding opportunity
Grow your business across borders with CE3 Funding! After a careful review, it has been noticed that students hardly consider international activities in their start-up projects. Interreg CE3 - the Crossborder Entrepreneurial Energy Education project - has been established between Germany and the Netherlands with goal of making students of the participating regions, with support from BABLE , aware of cross-border entrepreneurship at an early stage when developing their start-up projects. If you are a Student enrolled in a University in Baden-Württemberg and are thinking of starting your own business, take this opportunity to develop your start-up idea and expand your world! In times of home isolation, you might have more time available to think, so use this chance to come up with an innovative idea, to build your prototype, to engage with coaching and to turn your start-up into an international business. Within the CE3 Interreg project, BABLE has established an open call that provides funding for your start-up activities across borders. Important information: - 3 chances to participate in the call: 04.05.2020 until 29.05.2020, 06.07.2020 until 31.07.2020 and 07.09.2020 until 02.10.2020. Within two weeks after the respective call closes, you will be given a decisive answer on whether you will get the funding. - Amount between € 500 and € 5.000. It's not a loan, you don't have to pay the money back. You just have to show us what you intend spend the money on. - Your idea/project/start-up must consider Germany and Netherlands crossborder activities. (Eg. a link with students from Netherlands, or products being bought or sold in the Netherlands). Any project idea or existing start-up younger than 2 years old, run by students from Baden Württemberg, is eligible for funding. Funding will be granted to (start-up) activities in the following sectors: Life Sciences / Medical / Biotechnology / Healthcare Energy- and environmental technology Logistics Nano- and micro-technology / materials / high-tech materials Agrofood business Creative sector Are you interested? Launch of ENTRANCE H2020...
Recently, as a consortium member in the project, BABLE had the pleasure to participate in the ENTRANCE project's Kick-Off meeting, launching a three-year EU-funded effort toward developing Europe's leading matchmaking platform for innovative transport and mobility tools and services. Launch of ENTRANCE: Accelerating the market access and scale up of “first of a kind” zero emissions sustainable transport solutions. ……………………………………………………………………………………. How can Europe boost the uptake and upscaling of innovative transport and mobility solutions? On January 14th, 15 organisations from 7 different European countries, coordinated by PNO Consultants, met during an online Kick-Off-Meeting of the ENTRANCE project, which started its work on 1st January 2021. Their goal is to create a European matchmaking platform for innovative transport and mobility tools and services. The project is funded with a grant amount of 1.5 million euro by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. The consortium will work together for 3 years to create the matchmaking platform aimed at propelling Europe's innovative transport and mobility solutions forward. Climate change and the resulting European climate protection measures are leading to major challenges in all areas of transport and mobility. ENTRANCE offers a legitimate European matchmaking platform and complementary off-line services designed to mobilise financial resources to accelerate the market access and scale up of “first of a kind” sustainable and zero emission transport solutions , thereby reducing the European CO2 emissions and pollutants caused by the transport and mobility sector. Are you building Europe's sustainable mobility system? Then ENTRANCE is where you need to be. The overall concept focus of the ENTRANCE project lies in the “supply-demand-finance” triangle that is envisaged for all transport and mobility modes and that aims at facilitating matchmaking between the providers of innovative technologies, products and services, buyers and investors. Through the ENTRANCE Matchmaking accelerator funnel workflow, first-of-a-kind zero, or near-to-zero, emission transport solutions will be identified, attracted and matched with potential buyers, and financing opportunities and knowledge on good practices on the deployment of innovative solutions, as well as European and national tenders and legislation will be exchanged through the online platform. Are you ready to bring your solution to market? ENTRANCE has got your back. Training and brokerage activities will be executed to increase the maturity of the ENTRANCE community and bridge the gap between innovative solutions and the market. In addition, to de-risk the uptake of innovative solutions, ENTRANCE will facilitate purchase aggregation through matchmaking activities and by setting up a neutral trustee for the orchestration of purchase aggregations . Access to finance will be supported through an online funding programme database and individual and personalised innovation finance advice and support will be offered. The funding advice will combine public funding, private investment opportunities, and the best mix of alternative finance models for solution providers. Finally, ENTRANCE will facilitate cross-fertilisation and clustering activities with European transport and mobility associations and initiatives to support critical mass and achieve a coordinated European effort to boost the uptake and upscaling of innovative transport and mobility solutions. Everybody is welcome to join ENTRANCE and help contribute to the ambitious goals envisaged by the European Commission for reducing the transport CO2 emissions by 2030 and 2050 and respond to the increasing mobility needs of people and goods thereby strengthening the European competitiveness and boosting growth and jobs.
