Challenge / Goal

Versailles Grand Parc (VGP) is aiming to limit the ecological impact of freight transport in the city by focusing on understanding and optimizing the consumption of public space.

Solution

In order to mitigate the impact of urban logistics on congestion and air quality, the City of Versailles needed to see the actual deliveries on its territory and cross this data with traffic and delivery zones. Working hand in hand with the City of Versailles, Urban Radar offers its data visualisation and analytics platform to facilitate transport planning and identify logistics patterns that were not visible previously.


The first step was to contract data partnerships with private stakeholders to get traffic and delivery data streams for the city. Then, provide the right technology to aggregate and transform this data into exploitable insights. The City of Versailles is now able to update its public infrastructure such as delivery zones to fit the demand from logistics companies and reduce the impact of congestion on air quality.
