Use Cases on BABLE are real-world reference projects sharing insights and learnings to show you what is already possible. Each Use Case contains a list of achieved benefits, driving factors, financial information, advices for replication and links to relevant Solutions and the implemented Products. There is also the opportunity to contact the BABLE users who participated in implementing and managing the Use Case.
Development of an integrated e-bike sharing scheme
The reduction of the individual car use and the availability of multimodal mobility for everybody is a challenge for the future. The focus of this Use Case is on the development of a carrier e-bike for mobility-impaired people.
Providing secure pedestrian crossings
The existing pedestrian crosswalks in the peripheral district of Druzhba are not secure enough and present high risk for accidents leading to injuries and fatalities. This measure is to reduce the number of road accidents and to make walking a safer and more desirable way of travelling in this area.

The Municipality of Ruse and the non-governmental organisation-CSDCS, carry out research of good practice and innovative solutions on designs of safe pavements in Druzhba, with the aim to decrease the number of road accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists.
Introduction of ‘Good Night’ Line to Druzhba
This Use Case is to provide public transport service during the night in Druzhba. It consists of the creation of the new night bus line “Good night” and the promotion of the new service. The main output is the creation of new nightline service, which satisfies the needs of citizens.
Community information and participation portal
A central internet platform for all citizens, companies and institutions of the project area Domagkpark and Parkstadt Schwabing serves as a communication channel to provide information, service and tips on the subject of mobility in the district.
Night-time deliveries using clean and silent vehicles
The City of Stockholm is implementing a new silent night-time delivery scheme including the electric plug-in van to investigate the effects of goods delivery during night versus daytime and the implications and regulatory requirements of lifting the ban on night deliveries.
Electric and hybrid electric buses for public transport

The Municipality of Madrid designed a smart parking management scheme, including giving priority to HOVs and clean vehicles, and specific parking regulations to encourage good and sustainable urban delivery operations.
