Use Cases on BABLE are real-world reference projects sharing insights and learnings to show you what is already possible. Each Use Case contains a list of achieved benefits, driving factors, financial information, advices for replication and links to relevant Solutions and the implemented Products. There is also the opportunity to contact the BABLE users who participated in implementing and managing the Use Case.
Facility Management for Datacenter
Data centres utilise a lot of energy for operations, especially for cooling. The open data sharing and harmonised data models will allow a competitive edge. Profirator has deployed the FIWARE based platform for Contrasec and Luolakallio and has maintained them for more than a year.
Demand Management - Transport
There are three Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs) of which the city centre is of most concern due to a higher number of pollution exceedances. A Strategic Car Parking Review was undertaken during 2017 and 2018 which essentially formed a baseline of car parking in the city centre.

As part of a pilot project to improve air quality in Ludwigsburg, filtration expert MANN+HUMMEL has donated a CityTree to the city. With the CityTree, MANN+HUMMEL would like to test sensors for fine dust or other harmful gases in order to use them in future digital products.
Mobile air pollution monitoring on buses
Urban air pollution is hyper-local. Deadly air pollution varies more than 8x within 200 meters, which is however not reflected on current air pollution maps. AirVeraCity provides people actionable air quality information by accurately measuring air pollution from a mobile platform.
