Each Use Case contains a list of achieved benefits, driving factors, financial information, advices for replication and links to relevant Solutions and the implemented Products. Three pipes circular sewer system
In the neighbourhood of Oceanhamnen, the traditional sewage pipe was transformed into three sewage pipes in order to separate municipal waste water. One pipe collects food waste, the second black water and the third grey water. Grey water is recovered for cooling before being treated
SCORE: Smart Cities + Open Data Re-Use
The aim of the SCORE project was to create open access to key watercourse and rainfall data across a number of sites in the city. With the increase in high intensity rainfall events Aberdeen needs to create greater resilience and adaption measures.
New heating network
As part of the HeatNet North West Europe Interreg project, Aberdeen is completing a pilot project in Torry. An existing district heating network within this area currently serves three multi-storey blocks. The pilot will expand this existing network, linking in three municipal buildings.

EV Charging stations in Valladolid
The public charging infrastructure deployed in the city of Valladolid is made up of 19 charging points at 7,4 Kw, 4 semi-fast charging points (22 Kw) and 1 quick charging point (50 Kw). IBERDROLA manages it through an agreement with the municipality in the framework of REMOURBAN project.
Implementing storage and counters for bikes
Klaipeda wants to promote cycling as a safe and affordable mean of transportation for its citizens. Therefore bike storage systems have been made available in different areas of the city, protecting the bikes from thieves and weather conditions.
E-Bike Sharing for the District
A first E-Bike terminal was opened in April 2018 at the central cemetery of Vienna. A second terminal is at the mobility point. 12 E-Bikes and a Cargo-Bike are in operation. The E-Bikes are available via the SIMBike App or through a chip card offered at the spot. Sycube developed the whole system.
Shared District Boxes
Munich is testing two “Shared District Boxes” located in the proximity of mobility stations. These boxes make delivery, shopping and sharing services possible on a 24/7 basis. Each box features compartments at different temperatures (cooling, refrigerated or at a constant ambient temperature).
Multimodal Mobility Stations
'Mobility stations' make environment-friendly urban travel possible and offer sharing alternatives to buying one's own vehicle. Eight multi-modal mobility stations were built in the project area, two of which also include Shared District Boxes. Additionally, the stations offer free wifi.
