The Novo Mesto Municipality identified a need to adopt sustainable energy management solutions and infrastructure upgrades in the public buildings to reach their desired economic performance goals. Hence, a comprehensive tailor made energy management system from Solvera Lynx was installed.

Novo mesto is the seventh largest town in Slovenia and the Municipality of Novo mesto is one of the eleven Urban Municipalities in Slovenia. The municipality is recognisable by its exceptionally successful pharmaceutical, automotive, construction, textile and other industries, as the municipality is home to large companies such as Krka, Revoz, Adria Mobil and TPV.

An energy management system was introduced in the public building to get immediate savings and energy loss reductions. Through the energy management system, the energy consumption is being closely monitored with more than 300 metering points: this includes monitoring of electricity, natural gas, heating oil, LPG, and water.
Additionally. energy efficiency analysis is being carried out which analyses energy usage and costs. Energy consumption benchmarking has also been carried out to monitor over consumption situations. The Key performance indicators have also been defined and are being monitored for this purpose.
A comprehensive water management system was implemented, wherein the meters were connected with innovative wireless long range equipment, ComBoxL, which transfer data to GemaLogic Software platform where functionalities of water consumption monitoring, cost analysis and comparison of consumption pattern is carried out for several buildings.
