BLOXHUB is a community founded on the belief that the challenges of global urbanization and climate change require a new collaborative approach. It is a Nordic launchpad for future urban solutions. And a gateway to the Danish & Nordic markets for international companies. BLOXHUB was founded on June 3, 2016, by Realdania, the City of Copenhagen and the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs. It is a non profit member association for companies, research institutions, organizations and municipalities.

CIVITAS ECCENTRIC

Financed by the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme, CIVITAS ECCENTRIC is a four-year project that develops smart mobility. Within CIVITAS ECCENTRIC, the cities of Madrid, Stockholm, Munich, Turku and Ruse are working together to overcome challenges related to mobility in suburban districts and achieving city logistics that is clean, silent, and CO2 emission-free - two important areas that have historically received less attention in urban mobility policies.

Smarter Together Vienna

Smarter Together - is an initiative funded by the EU and implemented in the three cities of Vienna, Lyon and Munich. Together with the citizens and private partners, the city of Vienna is developing smart city solutions in the south-eastern district of Simmering. The focus is on the areas of building renovation, energy, mobility and logistics as well as information and communication technology. An emphasis is made on dialogue, in line with the Vienna Smart City Framework Strategy where the human dimension of the Smart City is the focus of attention. The aim is to create an innovative, livable and environmentally friendly Simmering and Vienna of the future with the local people.

Sharing Cities

The Sharing Cities project demonstrates the effectiveness of new technologies in improving urban mobility, increasing the energy efficiency of buildings and reducing carbon emissions at three strategic locations – London, Lisbon and Milan.

Triangulum

The three point project Triangulum is one of currently twelve European Smart Cities and Communities Lighthouse Projects, set to demonstrate, disseminate and replicate solutions and frameworks for Europe’s future smart cites. The Lighthouse Cities: Manchester (UK), Eindhoven (NL) and Stavanger (NO)

GrowSmarter

In a rapidly urbanising world cities need to become smarter to respond to citizen needs and to reduce their environmental footprint. GrowSmarter brings together cities and industry to integrate and demonstrate ‘12 smart city solutions’ in energy, infrastructure and transport, to provide other cities with valuable insights on how they work in practice and opportunities for replication. The idea is to create a ready market for these smart solutions to support growth and the transition to a smart, sustainable Europe.

Morgenstadt Pitch 2018

The Morgenstadt Pitch, is an event organised by Morgenstadt and BABLE for startups improving urban life. In 2018, the event was part of the Nordic Edge Expo in Stavanger and was held on 26th September. 10 different Smart City Startups pitched their solutions in front of an esteemed jury panel.

SmartEnCity

SmartEnCity, a project funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, aims to develop a systemic approach for transforming European cities into sustainable, smart and resource-efficient urban environments in Europe. We aim to develop strategies that can be replicated throughout Europe in order to: Reduce energy demand and maximise renewable energy supply
