The European Cyclists' Federation promotes cycling as a sustainable and healthy means of transport and leisure. We advocate for the policies and budgets at all levels that enable more, better and safer cycling. ECF is the umbrella federation for civil society cyclists' organisations in Europe. We have over 70 members and associate members, a Cities and Regions for Cyclists Network, a Cycle Friendly Employers' Consortium and a Scientists for Cycling Network. We centrally coordinate the EuroVelo cycle route network. We are also a founding member of the World Cycling Alliance and the Women in Cycling network.
Safe and comfortable cycling for everyday mobility is a key component of every smart city. We believe cycling must be treated as a fully fledged mode of transport. As truly sustainable mobility, it must be given the priority and investment it deserves.
